Psalm 145:3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. I love how this album ends with this simple and beautiful praise song. The bansuri flute is prominent in this song (and Aata Hoon) and is one of my favorite instruments. It is one of my favorite parts of this album. When I followed the Lord and stepped out in faith to begin working on this project, I was completely clueless how to do the technical things for the album and had many questions. What Can You Do?

I hope your hearts have been encouraged by the music and stories, but also softened and opened to the plight of these girls. I hope that the Lord is stirring in your hearts to do something to help this dire situation. Here are some ways you can help. Pray. Most of all, we need to intercede for these girls, the staff, and the workers at Disha Foundation. Pray for the Shaw family as they work hard to lead and make wise decisions as they care for so many. They need prayers for strength, courage, and endurance as they run a difficult race. Make a purchase. Buy a song, album or a book. If you already have them, gift them to others. This way you are being blessed by the songs and stories, and money from the sales is going right back to these girls in need. Also share the links to the album on iTunes, to this blog, and to the books on Amazon with your friends. Give. The Beginning

During the fall of 2012, the Lord was working on my heart and bringing things together in my mind in preparation for this project. I shared the vision with Vinita Shaw of Disha Foundation , and she gave me her blessing to move forward. I committed the month of January 2013 to the Lord for prayer and planning for this project as well as for my general music ministry. I know the Lord has used music in my life and to bless others in the past, so it makes sense that there would be spiritual warfare in the form of distractions or disruptions in my life. However, I was not expecting what happened on January 1, 2013. I had a sudden, unexplained back injury that landed me in bed for the month. Doctors were unable to diagnose the exact problem. After that month, I could only handle being out of bed for about an hour at a time. I very slowly worked back up to a normal routine as my back healed.
